Anyone entering the Pankow district court in Berlin Weißensee will discover exemplary Art Nouveau architecture dating back to 1905. The historic luminaires in the corridors and the opulent stairwell are also listed buildings. Converting these to LED was a challenge that loblicht was able to realise with great sensitivity on site and in its own factory. The aim was to preserve the nostalgic flair and architectural aura using state-of-the-art LED technology.

  • Monument protection requirements: during the entire project, from dismantling and conversion to new installation
  • Safety concept: ensuring careful logistics of the historic luminaires for factory retrofitting at loblicht
  • Conversion: Conventional technology to LED technology and retaining the lighting character of the historic luminaires
  • Special light inserts incl. ballast and satinised LED module cover for diffuse lighting effect
