The pointed canopy rises architecturally imposingly above the forecourt of the new FRW 1 fire and rescue station in Hanover, where the railway yard of the old goods station once ran. The main entrance is clearly visible from afar, as a modern, polyrhythmically arranged lighting installation with the multipro LINE lighting system from loblicht guides the eye to the foyer of the main entrance.

Beyond the large-scale wall glazing of the entrance area, the linear light lines connect the interior and exterior areas and continue through the foyer into the main corridors of the fire station. The different lengths of the multipro Line ceiling luminaires in particular offer the eye an appealing variety, sometimes with the course of the corridors, sometimes at right angles to them. Thanks to the shiny metallic surfaces and the glazing, the simple elegance of the energy-efficient recessed luminaires integrated into the ceiling panels is visually multiplied.

The challenge:

In order to ensure a smooth installation, we factored in sufficient variance for the luminaire body and the use of lighting technology as early as the planning phase. This meant that the luminaires could be customised to the structural conditions during the construction phase.
